Four sided shapes

Equilateral is when all sides in that shape are the same length

Tri is a shape with 3 sides

Quad is a shape with 4 sides

Pent is a shape with 5 sides

Hex is a shape with 6 sides

 Squaresquare - Wiktionary

Four equal sides, angles all 90*

In geometry, a square is a regular quadrilateral, which means that it has four equal sides and four equal angles (90-degree angles, or (100-gradian angles or right angles). It can also be defined as a rectangle in which two adjacent sides have equal length.

Rectangle Rectangle - Wikipedia

A rectangle is cyclic: all corners lie on a single circle.

It is equiangular: all its corner angles are equal (each of 90 degrees).

It is isogonal or vertex-transitive: all corners lie within the same symmetry orbit.

It has two lines of reflectional symmetry and rotational symmetry of order 2 (through 180°).

Rhombus Rhombus | Math ∞ Blog

A Rhombus is a flat shape with 4 equal straight sides. A rhombus looks like a diamond. All sides have equal length. Opposite sides are parallel, and opposite angles are equal (it is a Parallelogram). The altitude is the distance at right angles to two sides.

Properties of parallelograms (Geometry, Quadrilaterals) – Mathplanet

Parallelogram

A parallelogram is a quadrilateral with opposite sides parallel (and therefore opposite angles equal). A quadrilateral with equal sides is called a rhombus, and a parallelogram whose angles are all right angles is called a rectangle.

Is there any other four sided shapes you know?

My deepest apologies go out to and I'm extremely sorry that you have been treated this way. We have talked to Jack and he is normally one of our best, he must’ve just had a bad day (no excuses). But we have informed him and issued him with a written warning, also he has offered to have a meeting with you to say his apologies.

We would like to offer you a free pair of shoes and also a $50 gift card for any of ourx   departments.

Re: Review of the new recycling program

As per requested, here is an update on how the recycling has been going. Here is a list of positives and negatives.

- Most of the recycling bins have been used correctly and the appropriate items are going into their corresponding bins.

- There has been mostly positive feedback come in from staff about the new system.

- Some of the staff think it is a waste of time but they are still following the rules.

- The food scraps bin isn’t emptied often enough and it becomes smelly.

- There is some confusion over what types of plastics are recyclable.

I have a few suggestions that I think you should change. I think that the bins need to be emptied more often and put a sticker on each bin with what can be put in that particular bin.

Yours sincerely,

Subject: Fire evacuation procedure

Date: 6 August 2020

Hi everyone,

After a recent fire drill, A lot of the staff members did not know what to do after the fire alarms started to go off. The alarm sounded continuously to indicate it was a fire alarm but some staff members stayed inside the building. Staff members that did leave the building weren’t sure where they should assemble. In the event of another fire alarm please follow these instructions.

  1. When the bells go off. Evacuate the building instantly.

  1. When you leave the building find the meeting area.

  1. Do not leave that area especially to go back into the building.

  1. Wait paintenacly until the fire marshal says to

Please make sure the fire exits are clear at all times and nothing is blocking these doors, it is  unsafe. These instructions are here to help everyone during a fire evacuation and make sure everyone stays safe during this event. For any questions please contact me via email at MegCarter@workplace.co.nz.

Thank you,

Meg Carter

Reduce Plastic Waste Scheme

Banner here

Dear Customers and Suppliers

Stanley Organics Ltd. have come up with a new scheme to help us reduce the use of plastic packaging in our store. We want to stop putting plastic in our landfills. We want to invite our customers and suppliers to be a part of our new scheme and work together with us to help change the way everyday products are bought. We want to welcome your feedback to help us improve our scheme as time goes along.

A few changes that are going to be implemented are as follows.

1) All plastic bags are now replaced with hessian bags (made from flax and hemp fibres). First bag free with purchases over $50. Or we will provide recycled cardboard boxes (and help carry to your car).

2) Most liquid products (liquid soap, shampoo, dishwashing liquid, etc.) are now available in ‘fill your own’ containers. Bring your own container to fill and get a 5% discount.

3) Fresh vegetables - instead of plastic bags, try reusable waxed cotton bags to keep food fresh.

Stanley Organics Ltd. thanks you for your support and we hope to see you in our store.

Regards,

Judith and Barry Sampson

Can crusher and gear knob

 Can crusher.

Photo                                             I really enjoyed making the can crusher because it was kinda basic and did not have any real hard parts to it. we just had to cut some materiel out and then weld them together, and it was good for me since it is my first year doing metal so i got to learn the ins and outs. If I done this project again I would try get my welding better becasue it is a bit patchy and lumpy which looks a bit ugly.

Gear knob.

Photo                                                                         The gear knob is a bit more technical because we need to get everything to the exact mms and couldnt get anything wrong otherwise it wouldnt look right and I also got to learn how to use the lathe. I aslo learnt that I need to take my time and not rush because I need to make it all line up with eachother.

I have really enjoyed doing engineering this year learning all the differnt things like welding, how to use the lathe and even the basic things like what hacksaw to use for the correct metal.

Have you learnt anything new this year?
